In digital video, photography, television and film, post-production refers to the series of tasks that must be completed or executed after the filming or shooting ends. At ITS Productions this includes tasks such as the editing of raw footage to cut scenes, insertion of transition effects, working with voice and sound actors, dubbing, and all other related pre-production task. Post-production is the third and final step in the creation process. It follows the Pre-production and Production phases.

There are two kinds of video editing which are referred to as linear and non-linear. Linear video editing involves re-recording multiple tapes onto one or physically cutting and pasting videotape. Non-linear editing is done on a computer and uses digital images to rearrange and enhance footage, then records the final product onto a new tape or reel for distribution.
